A Last-Minute Gift

ImageI’m delighted to have this post up before midnight on Christmas Day. I hope your holidays have been lovely so far.

But first things first … Baseball bet. Me loser. Mention Adam Sendek. Yada yada yada.

With that out of the way, I’m doubly delighted to show you the cover for my new Susan Hunter book. You will be happy to see I restrained myself – a Sasquatch does not appear on the cover.

ImageI’m triply delighted to tell you I have a holiday gift for you. Head on over to Smashwords, and use the following coupon code at checkout to grab the book for free. The coupon is good for at least 48 hours, so there’s plenty of time to get yours.

And finally, lest you think I was unkind to Adam up above, the post about his Great-Grandmother was originally intended to be the Christmas Day post, but he requested it be shared on the 19th. If you haven’t yet read his tribute to his grandmother, it’s lovely. You can read it here.

    • Thank you, Annie! I like it and think it fits well with the others. We might do a wee bit of tweaking yet, but nothing major. I’m excited to be publishing the book (as promised) before the end of the year. The menfolk are sending me out for ice cream (!!), and then I’ll be up half the night getting it up over at Amazon. 🙂

I hope you and your family are well. I think of you (and especially your daughter) often.

    • Hahaha! You better grab it! 🙂 I’ve been working practically round the clock for days. I really wanted to offer it for free starting on Christmas.

Rich did all the cooking today – everything from the ham to the homemade macaroni salad and baked beans with BACON. 🙂 I hope you had a nice day!!

    • Ooh, thank you so much, Tim! By the time I managed to get the book up at Amazon last night, it was nearly morning. I have a lot to take care of today. Thank you for helping to get the word out; you are appreciated!

  1. Congrats on getting your latest book out, Maddie! Great feeling, I’m sure. 🙂

I’m glad I saw this post on Tim’s reblog of it, because when I opened your blog, it appears I have ‘unfollowed’ you somehow. I didn’t do it, so it must have been a glitch. This happened to me with another blogger, too. Yikes, I wonder how many other bloggers I’ve ‘unfollowed’ without knowing it. 😦

  2. Great lookin’ cover!! Can’t believe you’re already up to #6! It’s very exciting for me to be corresponding with a genuine, certified, acclaimed, exalted, and otherwise nationally recognized literary genius!!! Congrats, dearest Maddie!! : )

    • Thank you, Mark. You are really too kind. Really. 🙂 The book was done; the cover wasn’t. My niece has a new baby, and there is no sleep in their household. I’m happy with the cover; it’s what I asked for, but we will likely be making a few tweaks to Susan in the future. And you crack me up with that genuine literary stuff. *I* am excited to know a genuine, certified, acclaimed, exalted, and FAMOUS illustrator! 🙂
