My first royalties from my books were deposited into my account today. A whopping $21.73 from Amazon. I’m excited!
I published Sunshine Hunter on May 10. Big Apple Hunter was published on May 26. My royalties today are from May only.
Ten copies of Sunshine Hunter sold in 21 days, and three of Big Apple Hunter in six days. Five of the sales weren’t in the U.S., so the royalties were less. None of my early sales were from family or friends, and I didn’t have my blog then, so I’m tickled pink I had any sales at all.
It’s a start! 🙂
Woohooo so c’mon what you gonna splash out on? i know should anyone ever subscribe to my blog via kindle because I am outside UK I would get paid by cheque in which case I would frame it rather than cash it (30p would be a bit embarassing to deposit) 😀
Actually, I left it in my business account. I know I should take my husband out for Chinese because he’s put up with so much these past few months, but the entrepreneur in me says hubby can eat cereal. In two months, I hope to reinvest in some advertising I have my eye on. 🙂
Hey! Congratulations! Pat yourself on the back and write on!
Thanks, T.W. … I’m writing tonight!
Dinner is on you!
Hell yeah! Yay for you!! I’m sure there will be many more checks to follow, each one bigger than the last!
Great job Maddie !! I didn’t realize that you have only been blogging for a short while. You should write a book on the do’s and don’ts (is that a word) on blogging. You’re fantastic at it.
Yes, I just crossed the seven month mark. When I realized I was going to write more than one book – and actually publish them – I wanted to chronicle my writing journey. It’s been a lot more than that – and a lot of fun. I’m so glad I did this or I would have never met you! I’ve made some wonderful new friends here. 🙂
